Welcome to Paphos

One final look from the heights no bird can ever reach, and we begin descending toward island of Cyprus.

We landed in the Paphos airport which is close to the Pathos city (or Pafos, as they name themselves). A special thing about this airport is its location - by the coastline, so the sea is the first one to meet you on the land of Cyprus.

Of course, I couldn't miss an oportunity to take a photo of any aircraft I met on my way.

And these were helicopters parked by the sea-side. A beautiful place for a parking lot, isn't it?

The Paphos airport is a very small one, so planes should move carefully, giving way to each other. One airplane stopped for few minutes on its way to the parking spot so this one in the picture would take off.

And the first thing you see after you closed doors of the airport is the sea! Here is the point where vacation suddenly turns real, and you start believing it possible to get away from work and cold weather.

Hey Sue,

It was great checking your blog and to learn more about Cyprus. Cyprus is indeed termed as one of the best holiday destinations of the world and infact, is considered by the economic forecasters as the best place for
property investment. Please do comment your thoughts about it. Thats great...

Cyprus is indeed a great place and is treated one of the best holiday
destination these days for the following reasons:

1. "Very warm and friendly people" has been voted as Number 1 reason why Cyprus
has been prefered as the best holiday destination in Europe.

Learn more about Cypriot hospitality.

2. "Food". Learn more about the local cuisine and if you want to cook it at
home, take a look at the local recipes.

3. "Clear blue sea and very clean, relaxing, beautiful beaches". See the list of
sandy beaches you may enjoy all over Cyprus.

4. "History and culture".

5. "Local beer and and local wines from the region".

6. "Stunning scenery". Hiking and trekking can be enjoyed all year around.

7. "Near to fly and very affordable prices". See flight times to Cyprus.

8. "Nightlife".

9. "Great diving and the Zenobia shipwreck".

10. "Brillant golf coures". Get details about the four golf courses.

I strongly believe that this economic downturn period is the perfect time to
invest into Property in Cyprus
and have a dream home which you had always wished to have.
